Medical Malpractice:

A Legal Team That Will Fight for Your Rights
Whether you have physical injuries or invisible mental trauma, you go to the doctor or a therapist for the help that you need. You trust these medical experts with the most vulnerable aspects of your life, following their recommendations and treatments, believing that they will help you heal.
But what should you do when a medical provider makes a mistake, or their blatant negligence ruins your health? Not only are you left with injuries that are impacting every area of your life, but you also feel betrayed in the situation.
Our team at Wingman Legal knows what this betrayal feels like. That’s why we are so passionate about fighting for victims of medical malpractice. If you or a loved one has been injured by the wrongdoings of a medical professional, then reach out to us as soon as possible so that we can fight for your legal rights.

Our Personal Medical Betrayal = Your Fierce Legal Advocate

Our founder, Erik Aufderheide, is passionate about fighting against medical malpractice because of his own experience with his mother. She took a contaminated natural supplement made by Showa Denko, causing severe physical complications relating to eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome (total decline, including hair loss, skin damage, and neurological pain).
After suffering through years of agony, she finally lost the fight to suicide the week after her settlement came through. At the time, Erik was a legal adult, which meant that she had no dependents – so the company kept the money. The system valued her life at $0.
When Erik got the call, he was in US Air Force Pilot training as  newly commissioned 2nd Lieutenant. He was shocked to hear his mother’s lawyer tell him that she had passed away and the lawsuit had no value. That was the moment that ignited the fire behind Wingman Legal’s purpose: retribution for victims and their families who have been failed by medicine and law.

Medical Malpractice: Both
Physical and Psychological Harm

When it comes to medical malpractice, most legal teams are focused on the physical injuries. But the reality is that psychological harm is just as real and has serious consequences on the victim’s life. Many victims feel blindsided when they reach out for help with their mental health and it results in additional psychological consequences.

Examples of medical malpractice relating to psychological harm include:

  • Misdiagnosis of mental illness
  • Mistreatment for mental health conditions
  • A therapist crosses ethical boundaries (emotional manipulation,
    sexual misconduct, etc.)
  • Psychiatrist prescribes dangerous medications (ignoring the
side effects)
  • A patient doesn’t receive proper treatment when reporting
suicidal ideation, abuse, or medication reactions

Even though there aren’t any physical signs of injury, it’s important to understand that emotional and mental harm can be just as devastating and long-lasting as medical malpractice cases that involve physical injuries.

Medical Malpractice is More Than an Innocent Mistake

If you or a loved one has been injured because of the wrongdoings of a medical provider, then you need to understand that this situation isn’t just a mistake that should be brushed aside. Doctors take oaths and therapists are bound by ethical codes to protect patients. If a medical practitioner ignores those standards, then it can result in dangerous consequences to the patients they are caring for.

One careless moment can ruin your health and even cause life-threatening consequences. Both your physical and mental health can be impacted by a medical provider’s negligence. Some of the most common examples include misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis, botched surgeries, medication errors, wrongful death, overprescribing, and some mental health providers diagnose based on political and/or political biases that amounts to discrimination. Many therapists hate veterans and create additional PTSD for service members already suffering from combat related PTSD.

At Wingman Legal, we fight hard for medical malpractice patients.
Because we believe that these failures deserve serious consequences. You need a legal team that is passionate about advocating for your rights, and we are here to help every step of the way.

Our Strategy for Medical Malpractice: Liability and Compensation

When you choose Wingman Legal as your advocate for your medical malpractice case, rest assured knowing that we will fight hard for justice and a fair settlement. We’ll evaluate the unique circumstances of your case and gather the evidence necessary to hold the proper parties accountable: doctors, nurses, therapists, hospitals, clinics, pharmaceutical companies, and more.
The sad truth is that medical malpractice is often covered up. So, it’s necessary to take an aggressive and proactive approach to prove liability and negligence when a patient is injured. You deserve more than passive legal representation: we fight hard to expose the full picture through medical records, expert testimony, and more.
Also, mental health professionals are never immune to the consequences of their actions just because the emotional and mental damage is invisible. We bring the experience and skills needed to fight for your rights and recover compensation:
  • Pain and suffering
  • Psychological injuries (anxiety, PTSD, depression, suicidal ideation, etc.)
  • Lost income (now and in the future)
  • Loss of enjoyment of life
  • Wrongful death damages
